1934 Belediye Şehir Rehberine göre Yukarı Boğazda Rumeli Kavağı köyündedir. Köyün gerilerinden kırlığındadır; eskiden dereye Kasab Deresi, Çayıra da Kasab Çayırı denilirdi. (adı geçen rehberde pafta 23/Rumeli Kavağı); yerine gidilip şu satırların yazıldığı sıradaki durumu tesbit edilemedi. (Marat 1964).
