İSMAİL (Kirpi) - Onsekizinci Yüzyıl hattatlarından ;Müstakimzâde Süleyman Sadeddin Efendinin “Tuhfei Hattâtin” isimli meşhur eserinde tal tercemesi şöylece kaydedilmişdir :“ İstanbulludur,Büyükayasofya civarında otururdu,Kirpi lakabıile tanınmışdır.Sülüs ve nesih yazıyı Hafız Osman Efendiden öğrendi ve icâzetnâme aldı,Fukarâyi sâbirinden bir mârifetli mübârek ihtiyardı.Bu eserimizi yazdığımızdan 1759-1760 bir kaç sene önce öldü”.Hayatı hakkında başka kayde rastlanmadı.
